Old Capital Museum

The Oaks house Museum 
This structure is the oldest house in Jackson and was named for the centuries old trees those line the street. It served as Union General Sherman’s headquarters during the siege of Jackson in 1863 and was spared destruction. Smith Roberson Museum and Cultural Center
This museum features exhibits and displays that chronicle the lives of African-Americans from their origins in Africa to the present day. This was the first African-American school of Jackson.

Mount Moran
This mountain has five active glaciers and is the fourth highest peak in the Teton Range. Today you can reach the mountain only by taking a canoe across Leigh and String Lake.
